Grateful

The two people I love most in the whole wide world!

Ever since my doctor put me on bed rest I have had to rely on others to help me a lot more. It's not easy for me to admit I need help because I can't do regular everyday things. After giving birth it has just been ten times worse. I have been blessed with wonderful family and friends who have stepped up to help me.

Many people have brought me food. I have a stack of books to read while I am down. I have people for emotional support. There are those who are there whenever I need advice. I am so grateful for these people.

The person who has stepped up tremedously to help is my sweet husband. He has been able to take the week of from work and he helps me so much. Has been cleaning the house, doing laundry, making bottles, making sure I eat healthy balanced meals, and basically waiting on me hand and foot. I love this man more then anything!

February 5

On February 5, 2010 my little angel Marcus Tyler was born at 7:36 pm. He weighed 7 lbs and was 21 inches long.

Very tired and nervous father-to-be waiting at the hospital. We pulled an all-nighter while I was induced.

They let me take a break in the morning before they started me on an IV to induce me. I was able to brush my teeth, etc.

Marcus had to be taken by emergency c-section because he was not able to tolerate my contractions.

He was born with his umblical cord wrapped twice around his neck, but he was safe now!

My precious little boy weighed 7 lbs.

They took him to the NICU for a few hours to make sure he was all right. I didn't really even get a chance to see him. They brought him to me when I was in the middle of "being sick" on the operating table.

When they moved him from the NICU to the regular nursey, they brought him to me first. I took this picture. The first time I got to hold my little Marcus! I couldn't be happier.

Bed Rest

I have 11 days at the most before I have baby Marcus! My blood pressure is high so I am on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. Peeky loves having me home and is also on bed rest with me.

Yesterday I went to Melissa's house to catch up on Glee episodes. It was fun to get out of my house and talk to someone. Today I am stuck at home. My doctor has me collecting all my urine today for 24 hours. They gave me this tricky little thing to put in the toilet and then I have to pour it into a big jug. The jug I get to bring to my nurses appointment tomorrow.

I don't know why I have to go into see the nurse to check my blood pressure again. Every time I have to go to the office just to check my blood pressure, it's always high. It's stressful because I want to pass my test, but just getting stressed makes it high!

My doctor wants me to relax at home to keep my blood pressure down. She may induce me next week! At the latest, she won't let me go past my due date now. I'm getting really excited, but I wish I could finish the few things I have to do before Marcus gets here. I'll just have to rely on Michael to help me out!

Marcus' Room is Ready!

Michael helped me this past weekend hang up all the shelves in the baby's room and move things around.

Here is how it looks now.

The crib is still sheet-less because Peeky thinks it's his new bed.

Some say that Marcs will not go naked...or cold. He has a lot of cute clothes and cute blankets.

It's been so long...

I have one of my projects complete now and many more to go. I bought the curly letters because they were so cute, but then I had to borrow special tiny paint brushes from Melissa to paint inside the curly parts. It was a lot of work.

I'm feeling pretty productive now. I've made a few receiving blankets and semi-started the quilt for Marcus. I have a lot more work to do on the quilt, but I swear I'm going to get it done.

Marcus is getting bigger by the day and kicking more and more. Michael has finally been able to feel him kick. He put his head on my tummy and Marcus kicked him really good in the face. Maybe he's practicing his corner kick that his cousin Josh will be teaching him.

I have been staying really busy with the house shopping we've been doing and all my projects. That combined with the holiday season should make the next few months go quickly. Before I know it, Marcus will be here!

Baby Marcus has a Crib

Our ultrasound last week told us we are having a boy! Marcus will be his name. Now we know and now we (I) can do some serious shopping!

We got our crib and dresser a couple weeks ago. It barely fit in our car and Ronnie helped Michael carry it up the stairs. I was taking a picture of the "before" and Peeky decided to be nosey.

Peeky is always the big helper.

3 Weeks...

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it... I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat. I guess it's a healthy normal heartbeat. I was pretty sure my baby had a healthy heartbeat because I've seen her dancing around in an ultrasound. The doctor also had me schedule my next ultrasound.

In just 3 weeks, on September 10th, I get to find out the sex of the baby! I think we're having a girl and Michael finally admitted that he thinks we are having a boy. We should bet something...maybe a dream date. If I win I can make Michael go to a chic-flick movie in the theater. I don't care either way, boy or girl. I'm excited because then I can start really shopping.

I checked in a book that Melissa let me borrow and it showed me a picture of what the baby is supposed to look like now (almost 16 weeks). I guess my baby is growing hair all over HER body and the picture looks kind of apeish. This is supposed to keep her warm until she starts developing fat in the next few weeks. I also found out that at week 18 she can hear, so I can talk and sing to her!
